Hope Harbor Animal Society

About Us

Hope Harbor Animal Society was formed in 2012 to help pets that are having a hard time being adopted out at other animal welfare organizations.  We collaborate with other shelters that may be overwhelmed with the pets in their care, and provide individualized care for these animals that may require more training, medical care or TLC.  This allows the other shelters to focus more on the other animals in their care, and increases the chances of these special needs animals finding success, forever homes.  Hope Harbor Animal Society also adopts out animals transferred from other animal welfare organizations that may not have any special needs, but simply come to Hope Harbor because the shelter they came from was overfilled.

New Hope Rescue Ranch

About Us

New Hope Rescue Ranch is a 501 (c)(3) organization.  We started and will continue our rescue work on Facebook through our Temporary Cat Fostering page.  We hope to do more by becoming a New Hope Partner to the NYC Animal Care and Control.  Right now we focus on providing temporary fosters or "Cat Temps" to other rescues, adopters and people under duress who fear having to give up their pets to kill shelters.

Run by Catherine Citrano, who has opened her home to foster 100 cats from Staten Island Hope and other animal rescues, this page was designed to facilitate rescues' adoptions when there is a need for temporary fostering. Temporary fosters offer both a place and the time necessary to help save a cat from death.

It is also a place to post pleas for any situation (hospitalization, eviction, transition) that requires a pet owner to seek out a temporary foster or Cat Temp.

Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary

About Us

Blind Cat Rescue was started in 2005 to answer the need for a safe place for blind cats that were deemed unadoptable by regular shelters.  They were going to be killed just because they are blind.

In 2011 we built a building to provide a safe sanctuary for FELV+ & FIV+ cats.We will accept an animal into our sanctuary IF we have space available.  Blind cats must be certified by a vet as blind.  Cats with 20% or less sight are accepted as blind. All cats must be fixed. FELV+ cats must be verified by an IFA test.  FIV+ cats must be verified by the Western Blot test-

Anarchy Animal Rescue

About Us

Anarchy Animal Rescue was founded in Dec of 2010 out of need and desire to help address two major animal crises in this country - unwanted adoptable pets and the mistreatment and abuse of animals due to puppy mills. Our goal is to find good loving homes for as many pets as we can take in, care for medically and place in responsible homes.  If everyone adopted their pets from shelters or rescue groups, there would be less euthanasia in our city pounds. When shelters are overcrowded we are called in to help. By us taking shelter pets into our rescue, we open up cages so the shelters have room for other animals that are coming in resulting is less animals being put to sleep.

Happy Tails Pet Rescue

About Us

Happy Tails Pet Rescue is a small adoption program in Massachusetts and New Hampshire run entirely by volunteers who have joined together to save unwanted and abandoned cats and dogs.

We were founded to take in animals from other rescues and shelters who were going to be euthanized as a result of behavior problems, overpopulated shelters, or financial burden. We also accept surrenders from families who can no longer care for their pets, and work with other rescues to accept animals from hoarding and closed MA and NH animal rescue and breeding operations.
